The Sexy Faces Revealed: Cleanse Off Mitt

I know, this post should come with a warning as my no make up covered face is a fright and a half. But on the bright side you have now got a sneak peak of my Halloween look book for that night! Anyway, stop all this messin' and come here till I tell you about the latest thing to come out of Ireland. Its called the Cleanse Off Mitt and you should have one. Or three. 

What the hell is it woman your shouting at the computer? Well I'll tell you, its a cloth yoke you stick on your hand, hence the mitt part, wet it with warm water and then you go to town on your face with it. It takes off all your make up. Thats right, you don't need glasses, it takes off all your make up without the need for make up removers, creams or face wipes. Think I'm crazy? Look above at the photos. Apart from the obvious gas selfies, I'm only mad in the scene of sharing a skin care secret like this one with the internet. 

I ordered my mitt from Cloud10Beauty for €3.50, what a bargain! I had seen many a blog review of this lad and  thought they were all mad to be honest. How in the name of god could a little cloth mitt get off all your make up without a cleaner or something to help? But me oh my they were right and I'm sorry I ever doubted anyone! The first time I used it, it was by chance as I had to get make up off my face asap when it reacted with my skin and was burning. I even tweeted the photos above (yes, in the bath. Don't try tell me you don't tweet in the bath too!) as soon as I had all my make up off, I was that impressed with it. And to top it off, all you have to do to get the make up stains off it is rub it in some soap and taa dahh! Back to looking brand new. I threw it in the wash after using it and cleaning it like that for a week and it came out perfect. 

Now don't get me wrong, it isn't a honeymoon phase I'm in here, I did give it a good work out. Heavy foundation and contouring, some serious waterproof black eye makeup and even just for taking off face masks. If I'm heavy on the makeup I will soap it up and wash off the stains a few times but other then that and the odd bit of extra scrubbing for stubborn mascara this little mitt has proved itself and I will be getting more once this is warn out. What more could I ask then being surprised by a product that works and bonus points that its an Irish brand! Everyone and their mammies wants one in my house. When are you getting yours?

January Favourites

Last year I was all over the gaf with favourites, I had weekly ones then I think I had random ones and finally now I'm trying to stick to a monthly as part of a I'm being good and not frying the head off myself or anyone else. New year, fresh start and all that jazz! I love haul posts and favourites posts as you get a good few products to read about in one go and if anything takes your fancy you already have read a mini review of it, sounds pretty good huh!? So here are mine, its a mixture of things this month. I surprised myself with going straight for make up and then body products.

First off my trusty batiste dry shampoo. I think at this stage everyone has tried one of these life savers. I go threw a crazy amount of these bottles and they are my favourite brand too. Oh and the smell! They work wonders, can't get enough of a good thing.

I have left my lovely holy grail L'oreal purifying micellar solution over at a friends house and have been left to rummage through my potions and lotions to find other things to take my make up off. And with that I have been reintroduced to Botanics soothing eye make up remover. I did a full review of it over here.

Flower pharm is something that I have known about for quite a while, I see it in Tesco a lot and my sister buys me products from the line for birthdays and Christmas' but this is the first time I have used the lime blossom body scrub and it is amazing. I love a scrub thats not too harsh when your skins not feeling up to it and this works a treat. Also I'm not normally a fan of citrus scents but this is gorgeous and helps me to wake up in the morning. Try one out their not pricey at all!

Lush. Oh Lush. I know I'm on a spending ban from this shop but it means I have more time to try out and get to find some new loves in my big pile of products from their line. Lovely Jubblies breast cream is normally over €20 but I got it half price in their after Christmas sale, lucky girl for spotting a bargain, me! I will definitely do a full review on this as its amazing and smells divine! Nom for my boobs!  

I went off earlier this month to TopShop and got some goodies along with this matte blue nail polish. Its already been slapped on my nails loads and I know its going to be worn to death over the coming summer months. Its just so pretty!

Next I am in love with The Body Shop white musk smokey rose* perfume. I have been wearing it for at least two months now and its such a lovely scent, I get compliments about it all the time. Its an old teenage favourite with a new twist! If your near one of their shops I'd defiantly recommend going in for a quick sniff to see for yourself.

Normally when I go to a Catrice stand they are all out of this concealer palette but someone obviously was loving me earlier in the month when I stumbled across this, ugh its perfect! I have used Essence ones before but they seemed to have discontinued them, boo. But I think after using both, this is the better one. It also has three different shades of concealer for different skin tones which I really like too. Bonus!

My new beaut of an eye shadow palette that I also got in TopShop the day I got my nail varnish, it was on sale at only €4 and I was delighted with life! It has gorgeous shades and the pigment is to die for. It lasts all day and blends amazingly well. I think everyone needs one in their collection. You can see swatches here.

Lastly my lovely Rimmel Kate Moss lip stick that I had lusted over for ages when they came out. I got my very first one for Christmas and I am firmly hooked, I think about 10 more are in order! This is in the shade 107 and is a gorgeous dark red colour. Its very pigmented (you have to scrub your lips a little) and it lasts ages. On the down side because it is a matte it hides none of those lip sins and isn't moisturizing at all so a lip balm and maybe a gloss is a must.

Soap&Glory The Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser

Soap and Glory have several deep pore cleansening products and this has got to be my favourite one from this brand and my overall favourite hot cloth cleanser. I even featured it in my very first Friday Favourites post, now thats saying something! This 3in1 product claims to clean, smooth and melt away make up - it does exactly what it says on the tin! so to speak. Its my go to make up remover/face cleaner when I'm lazy or tired and I am not willing to admit how many times a week I use it! To top it all off, it comes with a free muslin face cloth, fancy. 

This lovely thick creamy stuff has panthenol. sweet almond, orange and my favourite, lavender essential oils which is the main sent. I have always loved lavender, so when I smell this last thing before bed it makes me sleepy and all ready to hit the hay. Also I love all Soap&Glory's eye catching packaging and this is no different with its fab box. Even the tube is something pretty to look at and I love the different colour font. 

Wonderful smells and looks aside, it works a treat with my skin and 'melts' all make up from my face in about 60 seconds after massaging it onto my face. I am also happy to report that I use it on my eyes with no irritation or stinging, something thats great considering how much eye make up I use. It even takes off tough waterproof mascara - a real pain to try and scrub off with a cotton pad and some cleanser. 

I have noticed a difference in my skin and less awful pesky spots too since starting to use this in late December. Its not hard on my skin at all and doesn't leave a residue like some cleansers I've used do. My tube has lasted me ages and still has a third of the product left, which is great considering I use it almost daily. Its well worth the money being just under €12 for a super-hero-type-product that you can get online here and in Boots. I just can't get enough of it and will be going back to buy this again and again. I even have a second tube on standby for when I finish my first one!
