You Pure Beauty! Barry M Gelly Hi - Shine

I popped into Boots the other day for hair dye and I saw the most beautiful site on earth - 3 for 2 across all make up. I know thats a bit dramatic, but to me its honestly in my top 10 best things ever to see. I clearly have a very sad life! Anyway, I might have picked up a few bits. Heres one of them.

Barry M nail varnish has always been a favourite of mine. When I was younger I got a few of their more colourful, 'out there' lip sticks and eye shadows too. But the one thing I always go back for is the beautiful polishes. Shockingly enough though, I didn't own a single one of their gelly hi-shine polishes until now, isn't that just woeful? I thought it was, so I picked up a colour I would never normally wear to celebrate my first purchase of the line (and hopefully many more to come, oh hello there Boots points you little beauts!!)

Key Lime is a gorgeous Spring/Summer colour and just makes me want to go pick flowers. Its bright green but not in an in your face way. Two coats of this and your ready to rock 'n' roll. It lasted roughly 3 days on me, with only little chips but I'm a devil for chipping nail varnish minutes after its applied so this was impressive! Taking it off is as easy as putting it on and it doesn't leave any stains on your nails like some polishes can.

As for the gelly hi-shine part in comparison to normal nail varnishes? When I was applying it I did definitely notice that the polish was spreading differently and that the consistency was thicker then others I have used. But once it drys I'm not sure if I can really notice a difference, it might be a little shiner then normal but that might be because I have read it on the bottle so I expect it to be.

But either way, I really love this colour and will be wearing it lots this Summer. I'm making small steps to get away from black and throw a bit of colour in! I might have my eye on about 7 more of these Barry M nail varnishes too, just in case your wondering why theres none in Boots next time your in!! Theres 21 colours in the hi-shine range and they wont break the bank at 5.99 each.

Have you tried any Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine polishes?

Seventeen Cheek Stamp

A  few weeks ago when Boots was having one of their 3 for 2 on all make up (don't lie, everyone and their cats went mad for those 2 weeks.) I picked up this little blush along with a few other things. It caught my eye because one its Seventeen and they are so on the ball with all their products, to me they hardly ever do wrong. Secondly it was a new thing just out that was.. Stationary but make up? Some of my favorite things in life combined! I had to pick it up, it was for the good of my health. Cough.

I'm not one for using blush normally as I try to stay clear of anything that will help me to achieve a clown/did my make up in the dark look. But people I have been getting brave in the past few months! Trying fake tan, contouring and now look where I am! I think this is the perfect blush for an utter novice like myself. The little stamp part itself gives the perfect amount of product in one 'stamp' onto your cheeks and when its blended out looks gorgeous and very natural. The one I have is in 'blushing' and I love that theres no slimmer to this and that theres no fall out which I was expecting considering it looked like it could be an awkward thing to use. Its the kind of thing you can slap onto your face and go if you only have minus 5 minutes to do your make up in the morning and still look perfect leaving.

This blush is a little bulky in my make up bag but it has a really handy mirror in the top of it and I'm safe in the knowledge that this wont open and destroy the interior of my bag as its a screw shut packaging. For €6.29 I don't think its going to break the bank if you fancy giving it a go. This comes in 5 different shades that are a lovely range of colours, I'm well impressed.

I Broke My Ban For This!? Sakura

I know, I'm sorry. I'm not sure who I am saying sorry to, but none the less I am. I went into Lush to have a look at the Easter limited edition things one last time and thought I might pick something up but oh no. I had to go nosy at the non limited edition stuff that I'm not allowed to buy and find the shiny, pretty, colourful new thing and convince myself that its for the good of my health that I buy it, fuck the stupid ban...

Now don't ask me why the hell I took photos of it on my Audrey Hepburn book, but I did. I was feeling fancy, artist and well, it needed to be done. I thought it was going to be true love and I would look back in years to come with a fondness over our first pictures together and how wonderful they were. Getting sentimental over beauty products is what I do best, clearly. But its all been a waste. Oh Sakura, how could you?

On a side note, I bought this in the Henry St. Lush shop and was not at all impressed with the staff that day. Normally when I pop in they are friendly, helpful and lovely. But both my friend and myself were in agreement that it felt like a 'buy and get out' vibe was going on. When I flicked though the new Lush magazine and asked if they had a bath bomb in stock I was met with a kind of unhelpful short 'no' that was off putting and the last straw so we left. Anyway...

Sakura is new to me (and possibly a few of you too) so naturally I had to have it. Its inspired by the cherry blossom in Japan 'designed to evoke the burst of optimism the first sign of Spring brings'. It sounds pretty good huh? It has sea salt, lemon oil, orange flower and jasmine absolute and gardenia extract to name a few of the ingredients inside. Floral, uplifting and calming is what Lush is going for here, but my experience was nothing like it I'm sad to say.

With the little pop of sea salt colour on the top of the bath bomb I thought there might be more colour inside but that wasn't the case. Fear not I thought, it will be beautifully scented considering how damn good it made my room smell every time I walked into it, but nope. So that left the water itself, it has to leave my skin silky with all the lovely ingredients and oils floating about... No, can't say that it did that either. Le sigh.

I can deal with plain  looking water as long as it smells good and most of all, does something for my skin. Normally I can get the scent of a Lush bath product through most of the house but not even close up to the water could I get a decent smell of it. Even after I had finished the bath my dear mammy commented about the lack of Lush smell asking if I had used anything in the water, it was that noticeable. And then secondly my skin didn't feel any better or worse after the bath, just the same. For all the oils and extracts that have gone into this bath bomb its not impressing me. For €3.90 AND breaking my silly ban, its not been worth it. I wont be buying this fella again.

A few people were quick to flap on Twitter when I posted a photo of this along with my comment of disappointment purely because I used the hash tag of #whatbubbles - So just to clear this up in case anyone thought I was a total gobshite and know nothing about Lush (go on admit it, some of you think that! :D) its a reference to a joke with friends that I alwasy post pictures of my knees in bubbles when I'm having a bath. Chill lads, chill.

Have you had any nice baths recently?

Penneys Haul: Look Cat!! Whose Counting?

Despite actually closing Dodie (the cat) out of my room she still managed to jump in the window 2 seconds later and demand to be in the photos - well she wouldn't get off the bed and kept trying to eat everything. In cat language thats pretty much demanding. So please feel free to play spot the cat and ignore the total that all this comes to. Thanks xox

I went totally mad. Like, I lost the run of myself in Penneys not once but TWICE. I had a gift voucher to spend (so don't go thinking I've a secret money tree out the back there!) and I went back another day to pick up more shoes. They were perfect, cheap and I knew I would wear them thin half way through the summer. Smart thinking me! I also had a goo at their clothes - all divine pieces but after trying on 27 things in the changing room and not liking one, I said feck it.

(cat foot!) €4 bra and knickers set? Don't mind if I do!
Purple sparkly knickers €2
Boring black leggings €4
Black pumps €3 each (!)

I had been looking for a water bottle for ages but could only find the mad expensive ones in Tesco for €14 so when I was running out the door on the first trip to Penneys I knew I had o go back and get this for a tiny €3.
On the second trip back I also got another pair of black pumps. Go and buy them before they sell out. They are so comfy and will go with everything. You need them!
I also got these gorgeous girly blue pumps with little dots all over them - be still my beating heart! €5

I have been searching for flower head bands and bam! Massive white roses €3 and smaller pink ones €2. You can also get the roses in pink.
Chocolate Bubbles&Butters lip butter €1.50
Essence 6in1 nail candies in always in my mint €2.29
Catrice prime and fine €4.99
NYC expert last lipstick
9 pairs of earrings €3

Argan oil hair mask €2 - I think, can't remember!
Mini hair brush €1.50
Lovely big floral patchwork cushion €8

So there you go, just picked up a few bits.... Oh bonus tip, don't try getting on the Luas at rush hour with a massive cushion. It just wont work and you will not only be squashed but hit everyone you pass by. Its like a sport. I'd be good at that. Wow, a sport I might win at, this needs to become a thing... Tangent!

Hope everyones having a great long weekend! x

New NYC Expert Last Lipstick

NYC make up had a buy one get one half price in SuperDrug and I was going to pick up something in particular anyway so it would have been a shame not to take advantage of the offer. I came away with their new expert last lipstick in the shade 404 Air Kiss. Isn't it pretty? Since I started wearing it I have had so many people ask me what I'm wearing. Delighted with myself! I even had to go pick one up for the mammy when I was in Penneys - their budget make up stand collection is amazing! NYC, Catrice, Wet'n'Wild and Essence all under one roof? I'm bringing my tent next time. Ah, new home!

The new last lipstick claims to be moisturising, last up to 6 hours, doesn't feather or bleed and long lasting shine. Hmm, well now I can safely say that it does in a way last a long time but not 6 hours. Its quite drying on the lips once the top layer has warn off and you would want to use a lip scrub before applying this as it does cling to any imperfections or dry skin. I like to apply a lip balm on underneath this so it doesn't dry out my lips. However it doesn't bleed and has a good shiny staying powder as long as you don't drink or go off kissing someone! It has a sweet smell that I really like but I would say its not for everyone, have a sniff of a tester if your thinking of picking it up! This lipstick comes in 20 colours (see them all here) and are a cheap as chips €2.49. You can get them in Penneys and lots of chemists stock NYC stands as well.

Above is a swatch in natural sunlight and I managed to stab the poor lipstick with the lid, extremely special person that I am! But considering its less then 3 quid, I'm not going to cry over it.

Below, as many selfies as I can fit into one post. I know, right?

You should go treat yourself to one, cos' I said so x

Timotei Golden Highlights Conditioner

I mostly like to get my shampoos and conditioners in sets cos' I'm fussy like that. But recently I've been picking up a lot of mismatched hair products as they have been on special offer and I can't walk by a value or half off sign without at least getting one thing. It would be rude not to!

Timotei has surprised me over the last month with not only a great dry shampoo but also this, a really good all round fab conditioner. This is the golden highlights 400ml infused with 100%natural camomile extract and skin neutral ph, so if you have golden highlights (or just blonde ish!) and very sensitive skin this will be great for you. It also has 0% parabens too, if thats your sort of thing. I really like the smell of this, it isn't overpowering like some conditioners can be but at the same time you are still able to get a nice scent from your hair all day, even when its dry and has been though the works.

I like to leave this on for about 10 minutes in the shower or if I'm in the bath then it could be anything up to an hour. Whatever the length of time (but the longer you leave it the more time it has to work on your hair!) I always find that my hair is softer, easier to manage and easier to brush out. My hair is also fecked with a lot, between bleaching, dying and not getting the attention or love it really needs. However the other day a girl in a coffee shop felt it (we were talking about hair and she asked to feel mine, it wasn't some random hair toucher!) and was surprised by how soft it was, despite it looking a little less then soft kitty. I told her about this conditioner and we had a grand time swapping product thoughts. (I was crushing hard by the time we said bye, it was love at first hair flick) A lot of people have the misfortune to touch my hair when it is full to the brim with dry shampoo and mistake my hair then for being brittle and dry, the sexy head that I do have! But its either dry shampoo or flat, slightly greasy hair. I always pick the bottle over limp hair!

You can get this in Tesco as Boots doesn't seem to stock this one. Its on offer and all at the moment! Find it over here for a bargain.

Madison Make Up Brushes

A few weeks ago I was given the chance to try out the new *Madison professional make up brushes and I was very excited. Not only am I a huge make up brush enthusiast and that these looked too good to even open, but they are also made by an Irish guy called Paul who owns The Cosmetic Outlet in Dublin. Gorgeous brushes and supporting the Irish? Well, don't mind if I do thanks!

This kit is really perfect for anyone who is a beginner or even a pro with this set including 7 natural and synthetic haired brushes all for just €30. And if thats not good enough, it even comes with a handy sleek brush holder as well to keep your brushes clean and safe while travelling. I really love brushes that come with a holder, it makes life so much easier and I feel like they are an extra luxury.

In order of the left picture below:

Flat foundation brush: Made of 100% synthetic hair
I have to say, there was a little bit of fall out with this brush that drove me mad and I ended up washing it and fluffing it off the back of my hand before round two. After that it worked a dream, using it daily now.

Powder brush: Made of 100% natural hair
Definitely one of the best powder brushes in my collection, I love the size of this and how well it picks up powders.

Stippling brush: Made of mixed natural and synthetic
This has to be the most exciting brush in the set for me. I have never owned a stippling brush and was overjoyed when I realised it had one! I even went off to YouTube and learnt all its uses and how to use it properly. I have used this for foundation and love it, the finish is amazing. If you only get one of these brushes it has to be this one.

In order of the right picture above:

Lip brush: Made of 100% natural hair
I have actually used this brush to apply eye shadow to the crease of my eye as it gives such precise finish and I don't end up with a crease the size of today and tomorrow. I reach for this every time I'm doing my eyes now.

Angle shadow brush: Made of 100% natural hair
I use this one to blend out of eye shadow but more recently I've started to use it for highlighting my brow or in the inner part of my eye.

Small eye shadow brush: Made of 100% natural hair
I am finding it a little hard to break this brush in, its a little stiff and doesn't pick up the shadows amazingly, I might wash it and try it out again. I'll report back!

Big eye shadow brush: Made of 100% natural hair
I really like this brush, its easy to use, feather light and holds the shadows really well. I use this one all the time and would love to get another one.

You can get the set and the bigger brushes from The Cosmetic Outlet or if you go to their Facebook page you can get them posted out to you, handy stuff! Paul has also told me that the smaller brushes will be coming out if you wish to buy them separately. But you have to get that lip and stippling brush, you just have to!!

Sleek Contour Kit

Sleek, oh how I adore you. Your sexy, full of promises that you keep, your colourful, give great coverage, staying power and make me look amazing. What more could you ask for from makeup? Until last year I had never owned a Sleek product before and now the place is coming down with them - not that I'm complaining, oh no! I could rave to you all day about their brushes, their *pauses to drool* eye shadow palettes or indeed their contour kits. Anything I have tried so far from this range I have few bad words to say about them and today is no different.

A while ago I got it into my head that I was going to take on a new part of make up for me - contouring. Done right it always looks amazing but I had never done it before apart from Halloween and if you feck it up then you can just call it overdone for the day that it is! So with only the kardashians to help me (I know right? Totally fecked!) I went off and bought this from Cloud10Beauty for €7.99. As you can see from the messy packaging I have been putting it to good use over the last few weeks and now envy more and more women, men and drag queens alike who can use this stuff. One day, one day!!

I got my palette in light as I'm a pale yoke and I was afraid to go too dark in case I looked a proper fright. I will say, contouring is a bit of craic and I always find it great fun if I have time to mess about with my mug. The highlighter is gorgeous and adds just a tiny glow and highlight to my face while the darker pressed powder really brings out my features and gives me the allusion of slight hallows and bones where there will never ever be any, its magical! It is so easy to blend and sits beautifully for the entire day. No sliding once I put some setting powder over it like I normally would for any make up and it hasn't reacted at all to my overly sensitive skin like some make up has.

I really love Sleeks packaging too. Its so.. sleek? I know, I'm getting worse at descriptions but thats what it is! It also has a strong clasp that closes it tight so it never opens in my bag. This little palette is the handiest thing to have in your bag if like me, sometimes you forget a mirror when your changing your make up bag so much. The kit comes with a leaflet that gives diagrams of where to put your contouring which I found uber helpful and a nice touch. I'd highly recommend nabbing yourself one of these bargain kits from Cloud10Beauty or in Boots.

Without and with flash in natural daylight.

Have you tried this kit or anything from Sleek?

SuperDrug Hair Removal Cream

I might have been in the Square last week and gone a bit wild in the aul SuperDrug. As there are feck all SuperDrugs in Ireland I thought there was little point in doing a haul and instead I'm just going to review the things I got as I go along. This own brand sensitive formula hair removal cream for legs and body caught my eye as it was cheaper then my normal Veet hair removal cream and it held the promise of being sensitive. And we all know sensitive means its not going to burn the bits off you, now don't we?

This 100ml cream comes with a handy little spatula like yoke, just like the Veet ones do, so there was no scratching the head reading instructions for me. I knew how this worked and thought I was on the ball. I'll be honest, if I was really going to give this a test run I had to use it on the legs and the other bits to be able to write the review. Now, the legs had been shaved about 4/5 days ago so there was that sexy stubble, divine. The eh other bits? Well green peace was outside the bathroom door chanting in protest to not destroy the forest, so I had two different lengths to work with. (With images like that, I sometimes questions why people read my blog. Its just all about the TMI with me.)

The cream got slapped on everything and I gave it a good 10 minutes to let the magic happen. The first thing I noticed was unlike other hair removal creams (and I have tried them all) there wasn't that horrible chemically smell you normally get. Instead it was creamy with lavender and a hint of chemical - not at all unpleasant. It also spread just as well as anything I've ever used and heres the major winning part for me, it didn't sting or hurt at all!

Now the legs were good, not like amazing 'here feel how soft I am, I'm going to hop into bed and let you touch them way', but it would do for a knee skimming dress kind of thing. The other bits however... Nope, it got about half off and I eventually had to turn to my Veet and repeat the entire process resulting with eh, well my sex was on fire. Man that Veet burns!

Overall I think if I was using this every few days to get rid of stubble it would be the perfect product as it smells good and doesn't sting at all. But for a more eh, intense operation I'd be going for Veet or a razor to sort it out. The next thing on the list is going to be one of those at home waxing things once I decide to grow balls and buy one. Oh wouldn't that be a fun post to read! (brace yourselves!)

Hope your having a happy day, hairy or smooth x

50 Shades Of Grey: Come Alive Pleasure Gel

I read 50 Shades when it first came out, hell everyone and their dog had a copy. Did it do much for me? Well in a humorous sort of way, yes it really did. I was a long standing fan of BDSM way back before it was written in a badly worded and plain scary context that I feel the books are. I can remember the summer I read it, I was living at my best friends house and I read every sex scene aloud to the sitting room for whoever cared to listen to me quote and scoff. I still fondly think about how their mother was convinced I was getting something other then a laugh out of reading the books. But anyway, this isn't a book review is it. This is about 'pleasure gel' that has the 50 Shades name stamped all over it an therefore, is more sexy then sex. Or so seems to be the case for some people, picking the brand over others solely based on the 'dirty', 'sexy' books.

So the *Come Alive Pleasure Gel, what can you hope to expect from it?

''An intimate arousal gel form the Fifty Shades of Grey Official Sensual Care Collection. Experience enhanced orgasms and stimulation as every tingle, touch and vibration intensifies.''

Oh I do love a few buzz words to set the mood. And if thats not enough to get you excited in the sexy way, then look no further then the box itself. Each product has its own quote from the book that is meant to have the desired effect. In this products case the quote is;

''I surrender, exploding around him - a draining, soul-grabbing orgasm that leaves me spent and exhausted. - Anastasia Steele.''

Well now, isn't that nice? But while the soul-grabbing got Anastasia to come, did this product actually do anything for the Joe Soaps as we all eagerly rip open the box and squeeze a little bit of gel onto our fingers? The short answer? Eh, no, sorry. That was lovely, but I have to go and wash my hair.. And then do this thing... Bubi.

My first impression of the box was that it looks cheap and the one thing I hate my sex toys (and accessories) to look is cheap. If I wanted cheap sex I'd use my fingers - Its free. A black shiny box with the 50 Shades 'Mr Grey' tie on the front and what I can only assume is meant to be construed as sensual with the red swirly writing of 'come alive' placed on the lower end of the box. The presentation made me cringe. My €1.49 Dealz bullet looked more classy then what they are trying to pull off here. This gel costs a grand total of £14.99 (converts to roughly €18) and for that kind of money you would think the amount of product is going to be decent. Prepare to be further disappointed. A 30ml tiny bottle of gel in even more cheap packaging - I see a theme starting here! A little black plastic bottle with a shiny plastic cap and a sticker plastered on the front to inform - no, taunt us that we are indeed gullible people.

Apart from the extortionate price and the cheap nasty looking packaging, does the gel itself live up to the claims of getting us to achieve those enhanced orgasms? For me personally, no. Let me paint you a picture, you lucky, lucky devils! Its like putting a mild tooth paste on your clit and then waiting a few seconds before you feel the mint starting to burn slightly. Yes ladies of the internet, theres menthol in the ingredients list. For some this could be a pleasurable experience and because of that I'm not knocking the gel per-say, but for me I was running to the shower to try and get that bloody gel off my bits before it burnt another hole in an area where there are really enough holes already, thank you very much!

I have come across and used many a gel or sex product that has menthol in it - or some other ingredient that gives the 'cooling effect' and they just weren't for me. I'm all about the heat. I like my rooms warm, my coffee near scalding and my sex hott. (Yes I did just use two t's.) But for those of you out there that like a different tingling sensation down there, then there are bundles of different gels, creams and balms that cost half the price of this over promising, down right ridiculous product. For a bargain grabbin' €4.99 you can get the same kind of cooling gel from Durex, over here. If your getting fancy with it you could try this cute, heart shaped arousal balm from Swoon  for €10.49. Or go the opposite end of the scale and try a warming gel again from Durex over here.

If your curious about the full 50 Shades sex toy line, then you can find them over here on LoveHoney.com . I have one more product from this line to review, so you haven't seen the last of the 50 Shades!

This Day Was Made Just For You

I made this! My own photo and all - Proud moment ;)

Sometimes I get down, I mean so down that its dark and kind of smells damp, its that far into the earth that you can only hear your own breathing and little else. Theres not even a thought in your head, its silent and almost unbearable. I felt like that last night. I just wanted to crawl into bed and not move out of it again, shut out the world that has so many people in it who judge others, put them down with negative words and actions. Who look for ways to put fear, doubt, self hate and a whole lot more into those who pass by. Why do they do that? I can only assume its from their own fears, doubts and self hate. But perhaps also cos' their just crazy ass people who need to be isolated from those of us who are nice, normal folk and can be positive and happy in our lives. - Just a thought.

So what did I do to combat the feeling of wanting to hide from the world and never be seen again? Go into the bathroom, dye my hair purple (again) and go on a crazy 'lets tan your entire body!' rampage. Then sit online and read every single BlogLovin' post I had left and finally, write this post. Why do all these things, some even slightly mad? Because they make me happy. And sometimes that can be the hardest thing to do, finding out not only what makes you happy but then putting it into practice. Moving can be a hard thing, physically and mentally pushing yourself to get up and do that one thing. But you have to try, you have to do it.

Whose this bitch telling me what to do? She doesn't know I feel or what I think. Yeah, your right I don't. I haven't a clue what goes on in anybody elses life or mind. I don't know shit. But all I can do is offer some help or advice. I've been the self hater, the bulimic, the cutter, the sexual identity issues. I've had so much more then I care to admit happen to me and I'm still standing. Why? Because I choose to live, fight on and not let the haters, the people who put me down, who physically and mentally hurt me, who sew seeds of doubt into my mind, I'm not letting them win. Nope, not today. And if I can help it not tomorrow either.

Why the hell am I spouting on about this? Well, I just wanted to say that there are so many people right now feeling like I did. Your never alone in this battle that we call life. Its a total bitch but there are others around you that are willing to listen and help if you'd like it. Theres friends, family, teachers, co-workers, partners and many more that wont judge if you want to tell them something, however small or big it might be for you.
And next time I'm having a shitter then shit day, I'm going to want this post, want to read back over it and go yeah! Woo, I got this. Or indeed tell myself to fuck off. But it will be here, all the same.

On a happier note, I has lol cat for you. We all know how happy cats make me, especially lol cats.

Anatomicals Oi! You Throbhead

I am a sucker for these 'gimmky' types of products that promise all sorts of mad things and I thought this would be no exception from the rest. A balm that promises to relieve a headache without the aid of a pill or prescription? God they were full of themselves when they sat down to come up with the packaging I thought! But my, when I added it to the basket and pressed 'please make the post man bring it to me' I didn't expect to get such a treat!

Now I'm not one for all these 'I can tell your fortune/you can fix it with magnetic jewelry/drink 5 drops of water diluted in water and it cures...!'  sorts of people at all. I like to take everything with a pinch of salt but I am genuinely surprised by this product. This is a handy little purple tin that you can throw in your bag or by your bedside table and reach for any time you need a bit of relief from a headache or some instant relaxation. Just rub a little onto your temples, your forehead or the back of your neck and chill out for a while.

Whats in it? Extra virgin olive oil, golden yellow beeswax, peppermint, lavender, eucalyptus, mandarin and sandalwood oil, rosehip extract and calendula extract. Theres no bad things floating round in this little tin, no sir. Theres a definite smell of mint from this, so if your not a minty fan you mightn't enjoy it! It reminds me of vicks vapour rub and I'd say smelling this if you have a blocked nose could work just as well -I will report back next time I get a cold (Sexy). But there is also a smell of wax and a slightly sweeter smell mingling altogether in that little tin. (paused to have a good sniff before I wrote that part!)

When you stick your finger into the tin the yellow product is solid but the minute it comes into contact with the heat of your hand you get a lovely oil thats easy to spread and apply. Nothing worse then having to dig a product out of a tin I think! As for the packaging itself, I am always a major fan of Anatomicals things. I really love that the tin is purple, I like how eye catching the name is and how easy it is to read what the product actually does instead of fruitlessly searching for what the hell it is like some products. That and every product is a little bit cheeky, with name calling or innuendos. How suited we are as a beauty lover and a product!

Overall a fun little tin to have round the house if you want 10 minutes of relaxation to sooth the head and maybe a blocked nose. But for me, I'm sticking to headache pills when I get a really bad one as I can't stand them for long! All you need is just a dab so this pot will last you forever. I picked mine up from Cloud10Beauty for €4. Not bad at all.

Whats In My Bag?

Bit of a random post today but its one I love reading with other bloggers/vloggers. I'm so nosy its just not right! I also couldn't think of a better day to take photos of everything then the other day when the sun was out, it was warm (in the corners where the breeze couldn't get at you!) and I was fluttering around the garden like a mad fairy on a blue slush puppy - the devil of drinks if you a parent in the 90's. A heavenly cool and down right yummy drink if you were a child of the 90's. They don't make them the way they used to anymore, took out all the good stuff!

As you can clearly see, I literally turned my bag upside down and fired everything out of it. I recently bought that gorgeous structured black bag with sliver studs, handles and a detachable shoulder strap on sale in H&M for €10 down from €50. Only last week so eh run like the wind for those of you who would like one! There were a good few in stock when I got mine from the Liffey Valley shop. It holds all this shite and on the inside has a little pocket for your phone, one just for holding stuff and on the other side has a bigger one with a zip. I like my zips.

The bigger stuff first!
My blue make up bag (no.7)
Pink owl purse (bag shop)
Glasses case (Tiger)
Inhalers
Sure and Impluse
Pink sunglasses (Tiger)
Heart tissues (tiger)
Woman stuff!
Finger less gloves (M&S)
Lady nail file (NewLook)
12 pack wipes (Boots)
Reusable strawberry bag (Pressie from the mammy!)

Small fecky bits!
SmashBox card with my products written on it
Hayfever tablets
Dads mass card
Floral passport (Penneys)
Pen and notepad (Tiger)
Bobbins (Boots)
Million lipsticks
Million plasters
Million perfumes
Two sentimental rosary beads
Keys
Minty mint

Thats what I'm carrying (apart from the kitchen sink of course!) In my bag, why don't you show me whats in yours? Tag me when you do on twitter @Bigblondegirl01 so I can go read it and be nosy!

Do you carry any crazy or unnecessary things in your bag?

The Ins And Outs Of Rimming

I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself with the pun in the title. Sometimes sex it funny. (And if its not then you could very well be doing it wrong.) Today I am going to talk about the taboo subject of anilingus or rimming. Some people love it, some hate it, hell some fear it! I know a few people who had never heard of it before I asked them. But I'm going to tell you all about it now, maybe you might decide to try it out soon.
The main thing about any sexual activity is trust and communication. If you would like to try something new then sit down with your partner and start talking, or nothing will ever happen! Going into these things with a open and positive attitude is a fab way to relax and get into the mood. And if your a little nervous or wound up over trying something new? Don't worry, everyone feels the same, its totally normal. Saying stop and trying again some other time is always an acceptable answer to give.

What the hell is rimming you ask? Simples. Rimming is orally simulating your partners anus. This could be licking, sucking, kissing or penetrating using your tongue. Both males and females have loads of fun receiving this - or even giving it. Thanks to the thousands of nerve endings around the anus, its like a party in your pants, just further back a bit!

Some people would never consider rimming as they might think its only a gay sexual activity to do and I can tell you that no, that is not true at all. There are also those niggling concerns you might have over hygiene and the possibility of catching an STI from it. Hygiene is important in general, especially when your about to get down and dirty with your partner under the covers. Why not make showering before that part of foreplay? Or if your a 'I shower alone, thank you very much!!' type of person then a quick 10 minutes in the shower before things start getting hot and heavy is the perfect thing. And your already naked, bonus points guys! If you are preforming this on a woman make sure that this is the last thing you do in sex/foreplay. Or if you just can't get enough of her, go wash your mouth and hands before continuing on. Transferring bacteria from the anus to the vagina is not good and can cause health issues.

As for STI's, there is always the risk of catching things any time you decide to have sex. Using dental dams or cutting open a condom as another form of dam is the best solution for protection. Dental dams can sometimes be tricky to get your hands on and if your like me, even the thought of cutting up condoms is horrifying to you, then hello kitchen supplies! Grab some cling film and get back into that bedroom. Adding lots of lube against the anus before using the dams will add pleasure too.

Next thing on the list is the actual event, the tongue to ass moment. Lying on your stomach with your legs wide open or on your hands and knees with your bottom in the air is the easiest way to let your partner access everything. Everyone naturally has a little hair growing around their anus, so if this is getting in the way spread those cheeks and get in there! If your feeling really confident you could introduce a vibrator or bullet against the anus to add serious sensations.

Enjoy, have fun and try to keep quiet! x

March Favourites

We are in April, can you believe it? I can't. And if your like me, any bit of sunshine and the shorts are out and sun cream is getting slapped on like no ones business! Holy mammy I got out to the garden and went wild with the photo taking and flower picking (while no one was looking that is- risky stuff picking your mothers prize flowers.) I have a load of different things I've been loving this month and can't wait to tell you all about them, so lets get crackin'!

I did a make up face yoke kind of post ages back here and also a comparisons post on this Wet'n'Wild concealer palette against the Catrice one. I said Catrice was much better in my Jan Favs, in my BOBBlogChallenge here and here and I still stand by that. Honest to god, I pure rave about the stuff after looking back at all those links! Its more creamy, better selection of colours and doesn't sting near my eyes. But over the last month I have been using this non stop because my poor Catrice is no more. Surprisingly enough I'm noticing all its great qualities. Its cheap, it lasts much longer then the Catrice palette even with daily use, it covers well and bonus points for the highlighter which I've been slapping on the face whenI contour (Yes, I now contour. Close your mouths, I shocked myself enough as it is.) So Wet'n'Wild gets a big thumbs up this month. But boo on the slight stinging.

I got a W7 In The Buff eye shadow palette only the other week from the Cosmetic outlet - post here on all the goodies I hauled! And since then it has been true love. Like head over heals love. Its meant to be a dupe for the Naked 2 palette and for a fraction of the price. I bet this is bringing all the boys to the yard, promises of milkshakes or not! I have done a tonne of different looks with all the 12 nude matte and shimmer goodness(es), things I would never normally think of or have the confidance to do. Take a goo at my Twitter or my Instagram to see some of the photos of recent colours I've used. I'm going to do a full post on this in time, just to brag about how badly I can wipe powdery colours across my face. Sexy, non?

My Cleanse Off Mitt? No words can describe my love, as someone who is a lazy arse about taking her makeup off. If I come home from a party or night out then boom, 2 second scrub round the chops with this beaut and I'm already half way to bed. Read my full review of it here - warning though, I make faces and some of them aren't purtty.

Ah, Timotei you sly dog you! Here was me thinking it was the kind of cheapy brand you could nab in the pound shop and did the job ok. But oh no, they went off and brought out a dry shampoo without informing me of its wonder, great power and general magical abilities. This is without a doubt the best dry shampoo I have ever tried. I know right, what is she on about? Has she lost the run of herself altogether now? Its all that fresh air, not doing her the least bit of good! Go way and stop that sort of thinking! I'm going to do a better review of this really soon, but for now just take my word for it, run like crazy and buy ever bottle you can find. Then send some to me. It doesn't leave white residue like Batiste, gives the locks volume and it lasts all day. You'll never need to shower again. - Ah here, slight exaggeration but you get what I'm jabbering on about. I found mine in Tesco on sale. Go, run!

Next is nail varnish, a slight obsession of mine. Seventeen is a brand that can do no wrong in my eyes, they do amazing dupe concealer for Benefits Boi-ing, they do gorgeous eye shadows and they now do amazing nail varnish. Who created the brand and can I marry them please? This is the new colour clash nail effects in 'in the surf'. Blue speckled nails with white. Orange. Baby pinks! Oh be still my beating heart, its almost too much. You only need one coat of this stuff, it makes the most divine looking nail art and I will be wearing it all summer. I mean allllll summer. Prepared to get bored of my nails fast.

Another little gem is my Anatomicals headache relief balm soother. I got it the same time I ordered my Cleanse Off Mitt from Cloud10Beauty. I got it on a whim, thinking it wont work but it was cheap and thought it might be something cute and different to try. It actually does reduce my headaches, I'm shocked to say. It smells really lovely and slightly minty, its hard and compact in the tin but the moment you touch it it tuns into this lovely oil thats so easy to spread over your temples. I even use this before bed sometimes to relax me and help me sleep. I'm considering this as a stocking filler already! (No one shoot me, I am 24/7 365 days of the year about Christmas, ok!?)

Lastly, my Penneys shoes. Would you look at all that blue glittery goodness packed onto one pair of shoes! I got these bad boys last year and I have a feeling they might bring out something similar again this year. I didn't wear them much as they cut the footies off me but after saying fuck it and breaking them in, I now want nothing else on me. Happiness is glitter feet. They are comfy, finally and aren't too unstable like some of the shoes Penneys dishes out. I think I paid about €7 for these. I need to go back and stalk the shelves in there for the summer, just in case they pop back in!

The TMI Tag

The lovely Sam from AllTheBuzz tagged me to do this a little while ago, the doll. Another tag down, making my way to 7 in no time as part of my 101 things to do wish list! I have to say, I had great craic answering these and I'll admit it, my mind did go a bit in the gutter with some of them. But I did try!

1. What are you wearing?
Black string top that I got yesterday in H&M, wine hoodie from Penneys, shorts from Dunnes, black leggings and red bootie slippers both from Penneys.

2. Ever been in love?
I've been in love with actors, characters from books, men, women, cats and the man who makes and sells these amazing donuts in the Galway market. Hes some man, meow.

3. Ever had a terrible break up?
Throwing knickers out the window, slamming doors and bawling crying/screaming at people. Maybe just one or two. But sure, haven't we all had those Corrie moments?

4. How tall are you?
I'd like to say I'm 6'5 but ehh 5'7 on a good day. I'm tall for a girl!

5. How much do you weigh?
Eh about 3 layers of clothes, 7 cups of strong coffee, much posh discounted garlic and herb cheese, 2 stone cats and a good stone and a half in make up and hair spray. The rest? Thats just enough to keep you comfy and warm at night.

6. Any tattoos?
I have 6 and hoping to have two more in the next month or two. They are on my back, ribs, neck and right lower arm.

7. Any piercings?
I currently only have 7. On my ears, tragus and lip. I have had about 40 at this point. If you have a good look at me you can see some tiny scars all over!

8. OTP?
Zalfie and it happened! Oh my life was made when they got together!!

9. Favourite show?
Theres loads of shows I like, HIMYM (boo now that its over!) Buffy will always have a spot in my heart - much like Friends. Lie to me, Body of proof, The L Word and then of course all the trashy shows like LA Ink and gypsy weddings.

10. Favourite bands?
Again, I like loads of bands so its really hard to answer that one! Noah and the whale is a pretty good one off the top of my head.

11. Something you miss?
Being younger. I still had my dad and granddad then, older much loved neighbors. I had no responsibilities and still had a lot of innocence!

12. Favourite song?
I don't have one. Small list though:
Ella Fitzgerald - Dream a little dream of me
Steve Earle - Galway Girl
Lorde - Royals
Icona pop - I love it
Duke Ellington - Take the A train
Florence and the Machine - Dog days
Imelda May - Falling in love with you again
The Pogues - Fairy tale of New York

13. How old are you?
For now and forever more, I am 21.

14. Zodiac Sign?
Virgo.

15. Quality you look for in a partner?
For a guy: good bit older, tall, wide shoulders, an ass that wont quit. Dirty humour, down to earth and lets face it, an open minded animal in bed.
For a girl: Cute, funny, smart, girly and tits. I just want all the tits. Thank you please. I just love foreign girls too for some reason. I'll stop drooling now, excuse me.

16. Favourite quote?

19. Loud music or soft?
As near to blood coming out my hears as I can stand it. But safety first and all that jazz!

To have a bath or into my room. If its near the weekend over to my besties house to hide on the couch with tea.

21. How long does it take you to shower?
If its a running like a mad yoke then 7 minutes (I've been timed!) If its a bit of a pamper with conditioner and body scrub/shaving/moisturising then maybe 40 minutes.

22. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
Again depends. If theres time for make up and showering then maybe 40 minutes. If its a dry shampoo and dodgy eyeliner on the moving bus, 10/15 minutes.

23. Ever been in a physical fight?
I'm a lady, excuse you! So therefore, only a handful. *cough

24. Turn on?
Can we all scroll up to number 15. That please and thank you xoxox

25. Turn off?
Arrogance, no sense of humour, a me, myself and I attitude, being close minded and ignorant. Just a few of the things that make me feel like the Sahara.

26. The reason I started blogging?
I wanted somewhere to talk about all the products and general stuff in life that I couldn't talk to with some of my friends. I don't have many girl friends so when I bring up the latest face mask over a pint I get a weird look. On the internet I still get weird looks, but the odd nod of agreement too! And for the community, I wanted to be part of something great!

27. Fears?
Ghosts, getting my little heart broken, sti's/std's, death of loved ones, being alone and a shortage of cheese, coffee or chocolate. Oh and the mini heart attack you get when the internet goes down.

To the cat before I put her out for the night, to half the people on twitter (I'd say it was Robyn) and to Stephen before he went home earlier.

30, Meaning behind your blog name?
Have you not seen me!?!? I rest my case.

31. Last book you read?
Incubus Dreams by Laurell K. Hamilton. I know, I'm still reading the bloody series. I'm a glutton for punishment it seems. Its such a bad story line and so badly written but I'm 13 books in now so I'm committed. And maybe I just like having something at hand to bitch about. That too.

32. The book your currently reading?
The Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer. Had to run out like a crazed woman and buy it after I read a review of it from a much loved blogger I follow. Its fecking amazing and I'm less then 100 pages in. I'll review it when I'm done.

33. Last show you watched?
The Late Late Show there last Friday. Yes I will actually try sit down and watch it when its aired. Whats that I hear? Alone forever and old before my time? Not at all.

37. Place you want to visit?
Theres loads of places I'd love to visit, if I could just get on a plane!

38. Last place you were?
I'll assume this means out the house way, not in a different country way. I was in Liffey Valley yesterday. Had a blast in Boots getting my make up done, buying a book and getting a few bargains that are worth a tiny squeal of joy over!

39. Do you have a crush?

44. Favourite piece of jewelry?
My little blue cloud that I rarely ever take off. My best friends dad got it for me as a light hearted pun in a scary time in the aul life. It means a lot.
